Dick has 52 years of experience as a psychotherapist and in small group and team leadership. He has been in private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1979 and helps families, marriages and individuals.

Dick received his B.A. in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley in 1965. His Masters Degree in Social Work comes from the Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City (1967), where his major course of study was Group Work.

Dick Wulf moved to Colorado Springs in 1969 to be a group therapist at the Pikes Peak Mental Health Center (now called Aspen Pointe). Soon, Dick became the Program Director of the Pikes Peak Mental Health Center, supervising the clinical programs of all 26 offices.

In 1983, Dick authored Find Yourself - Give Yourself, a Christian book published by NavPress. He is also the designer of the youth discipleship role-playing game DragonRaid which brought hundreds to saving faith.  In 2018, Dick posted a 900+ page manuscript on ChristiansTogether.org about faith together.  It details his 65 Togethers of Scripture, things God wants Christians to do together that increase worship of God, transformation into the image of Jesus Christ, defeat the devil, and prepare us for heaven.

Dick and his wife Jean, also a psychotherapist, have lived in the same house for 50 years and been involved in their community.  Dick
was president of the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood Association in Colorado Springs three times – for a total of 9 years.

While at Pikes Peak Mental Health, Dick also served on many community councils, boards and governmental committees, often as the chairperson. Dick has consulted to many organizations, often where team dysfunction threatened either survival of a company or huge lawsuits.

Dick  has been a church elder for over 25 years. He has conducted workshops in churches in many states on small group leadership as well as Christian community.  He has consulted to many international parachurch organizations, including the Navigators, Campus Crusade for Christ, Prison Fellowship, and Youth for Christ.  He has been a family camp speaker for InterVarsity, varioius church denominations, and a private Christian family camp.

Dick served on the Board of Directors of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis.

Dick and Jean married in 1965. They have three daughters and five grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
